Small business takes off with contract

ONE Duncraig small business owner recently landed the job of a lifetime.

Pip Naumovski, director of Access Brick Paving Co, and his team were given a contract to lay about 440,000 pavers at the newly refurbished Perth Domestic Airport.

Commencing works late last year, Mr Naumovski said the task was never going to be “a walk in the park”.

“Considering the airport is still operating and attracting thousands of passengers by the hour, we have to accommodate for all, as well as being organised and making sure where we work is safe for all those around us,” he said.

He said his personal ambition was to repave a large area in an important location.

“The airport is the first point of contact with interstate and some international travellers,” he said. “I truly feel a sense of satisfaction and pride that I have reached a personal goal.”

Works are expected to be completed early this year.
