THIRTEEN of WA’s best urban artists, including Mt Lawley’s Jodee Knowles, have combined forces to turn all four sides of the prominent Western Power-owned building on the corner of Roe and Milligan streets into the largest mural ever painted in WA.

Completed under the watchful eye of Artrage director Marcus Canning, the project is part of a cultural partnership between Artrage and Western Power and is intended to act as a gateway to Northbridge.

“I think this new icon for urban art is going to be loved by a lot of people for years to come,” Canning said.

The mural features a range of urban art styles, from character works through to traditional graffiti writing pieces.

The next stage will see multiple light-boxes installed around the building to display temporary exhibitions.
